The exact reason has not yet been identified by doctors, other than the fact that it is acitivated due to lack of immunity and results in allergies such as this.

Some known reasons that cause eczema

Some very common reasons for eczema to be caused include soaps, detergents, weather, environmental allergens, jewelry, creams, food handling, clothing, sweating, gloves, rubbing, bacteria, emotional or mental stress, etc. These are items of daily use, but severe forms of eczema occur for external allergies faced by the body.

Common Symptoms of Eczema

Severe itching is the very first symptom that a patient may notice on a particular part of the body. This is then followed by extreme levels of rashes around that part to appear in patches result in some very gross looking red and flaky patches. The inflammation and the itchiness become so unbearable that constant scratching seems to be the only answer. Hence this later on results in scabs and crusts to form on all around the body part form that single spot.

As for adults the same types of patches occur being very dried and thick in brownish color. Some puss like liquid and bumps are also formed in the areas which upon scratching secrete their gross insides all around the patches making them wet. This wetness becomes the source to other parts of the body too.

These patches then start developing on all other parts of the body very rapidly. This often covers the hands, feet and the face before any other part of the skin. This is because of so much exposure to these parts of the body to dust and other external agents. It later on becomes so fierce as to prevent a person from having a sound sleep.
